Your MissionJoin Stryker’s R&D Simulation Team and help shape the future of orthopaedic medical technology. In this internship, you’ll apply simulation methods and biomechanical analysis to support the development of innovative implants. Gain hands-on experience with advanced engineering tools while contributing to projects that directly impact patient care.
What You'll Do- Support numerical simulations using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), musculoskeletal modeling, and CAD tools
- Research physiological loading conditions and failure scenarios through scientific literature reviews
- Evaluate implant design concepts and support validation activities for medical devices
- Collaborate with engineers to align simulation and testing throughout product development
- Contribute to technical documentation, reporting, and project presentations
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Engineering, Biomechanics, Materials Engineering, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of FEA and/or musculoskeletal modeling
- Initial experience with simulation software such as Ansys, Abaqus, AnyBody, or similar tools
- Familiarity with CAD software such as Creo or SolidWorks
- Good English skills (minimum B2); German skills are beneficial
- Professional experience in an international MedTech R&D environment
